We operate an after-school childcare facility (a healthy child-rearing program for after-school hours). We primarily target dual-income households with elementary school children in the area, with children from 1st through 6th grade as our users. We work closely with the government and operate stably while receiving subsidies. Membership fees from members account for about 30% of revenue, and government subsidies for about 70%. These are subsidies covering deficits in the after-school healthy child-rearing program. Income and expenses within the facility that are not part of the after-school child-rearing program are accounted for separately from the subsidies, so stable profitability is achievable. We offer content that broadens children's interests, which has been very well received by customers. In some cases, children commute from other municipalities specifically for this content. To report to the families of our users (elementary school children), we have introduced a system that uses a dedicated app to report daily logs describing the day's events, which has been greatly appreciated. Staff consist of 7 after-school childcare support workers (3 full-time, 4 part-time) and 5 part-time employees, among others. With a young staff averaging in their 30s, we strive to provide a comfortable service. We put effort into adopting ICT. We have succeeded in improving operational efficiency, building an organization where all staff can perform on par with one another. We employ 3 full-time and 4 part-time after-school childcare support workers required to run the after-school healthy child-rearing program. We also have well-established training systems and manuals, enabling all employees to perform their work uniformly. We structure training so that new employees become productive within 3 months, creating a framework that can withstand expansion. We collaborate well with external companies, keeping the organization nimble. For content such as weekly conversations with native and bilingual speakers, as well as pickup/drop-off taxis, we use external companies to ensure quality.
