■ Business model - Business We run a ladies' fashion brand, currently selling worldwide mainly through e-commerce. The brand has been worn by many of Japan's most talked-about artists and entertainers, as well as several major international artists, and its profile is steadily rising. (We will share who has worn it after name disclosure is agreed.) Our Instagram has roughly 4,000 followers in Japan and abroad, giving it a certain reach and influence. It has also been featured in numerous outlets, from major Japanese apparel media to international media such as Vogue and Yahoo!, and is a brand attracting growing attention. - Product and service features A collection brand attuned to global fashion trends. The products are characterized as a casual brand that values diversity, individuality, and a strong sense of fashion. On the service side, we have built and run a system allowing customers worldwide to buy via e-commerce; going forward we would like to resume wholesale, but we hope to decide this through discussion. - Customer and client characteristics Sales are currently online only, so the business is BtoC. Going forward, we hope to expand our client base both in Japan and around the world. You can start from Japan, or target the entire world from the outset. The target demographic is a high-end brand for ages 25 to 40, with prices of about ¥12,000 for a T-shirt, about ¥50,000 for a dress (one-piece), about ¥60,000 for a jacket, and about ¥80,000 for a coat. As sales are on the rise, even greater sales can be expected going forward. - Staff and organization At present, this is run by the representative alone (with some outsourcing). - Strengths and selling points Because it incorporates Japan's unique design techniques and culture strongly into contemporary fashion, it is a brand with a high affinity between design and identity that competing brands lack. The collection themes are influenced by fashion culture, giving its worldview real depth. As the range of materials and items expands going forward, it should be able to create a worldview that is even harder to imitate. With many of today's most talked-about entertainers and artists wearing it, the brand's credibility and recognition are gradually rising. The brand's target is working women old enough to have discretionary spending money, so it should be easier to gain repeat fans with the means to keep buying than with a younger demographic. There are also unisex items, so male customers can be captured as well. Previously we wholesaled from Japanese select shops to Hong Kong and Shanghai, and received inquiries from Italian select shops and from showrooms in Shanghai and Paris, so a variety of markets can be targeted. With the current weak yen, the climate for exports is also favorable, so there is potential in overseas markets. Going forward, it may also be good to create affordable, lower-priced accessory items to build a broad customer base, so we hope to decide various matters flexibly through discussion.
